Throgs Neck Bridge On/Off Ramps Replacement
The removal and replacement of the on and off ramps between the Cross Island Parkway and the Throgs Neck Bridge. Originally bid with an 18 month schedule, the work was accelerated and completed in 6 months to minimize traffic disruptions.
This project included the demolition and replacement of the concrete bridge deck including the bridge bearings and bridge drainage system. A new roadway lighting system was installed and all existing lead-based paint was removed and the structure repainted. The aggressively accelerated schedule and 12 month savings we achieved was the result of extensive advanced planning and coordination thus resulting in a 1 million dollar bonus for early completion.
